Bakit nagkakaroon ng stretch marks?

Short answer
Stretch marks form when rapid skin stretching or hormonal effects alter supportive fibres in the dermis.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.
At a glance
- Skin layer
- Stretch marks reflect altered support fibres within the dermis.
- Early colour
- Fresh marks can look pink, red, purple or dark brown.
- Treatment goal
- Procedures seek visible improvement rather than complete erasure.
What causes stretch marks?
They can appear during growth spurts, pregnancy, muscle gain or changes in body size. Genetics and prolonged exposure to corticosteroid medicines can also influence susceptibility; having them does not mean the skin is unhealthy.
How stretch marks change
New stretch marks may be pink, red, purple or dark brown and can feel slightly raised or itchy. As they mature, they generally become lighter, flatter and less noticeable, though their final colour varies with skin tone.
Common sites include the abdomen, breasts, hips, thighs, buttocks, upper arms and lower back. Their surface texture reflects a change deeper than ordinary dryness, so moisturiser can ease tightness but cannot erase the lines.
Caring for stretch-marked skin
Apply a plain moisturiser when the area feels dry or itchy and protect exposed skin from sunlight to reduce colour contrast. Avoid harsh rubbing and products that promise complete removal.
If the appearance concerns you, discuss treatment while clarifying whether the marks are new or mature. Microneedling, energy-based procedures and other approaches aim to improve texture or colour rather than eliminate every line. Choice depends on skin tone, mark location, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, medicines and the risk of pigment change.
When stretch marks need medical review
Request an assessment if wide marks appear suddenly without a clear body change, particularly alongside easy bruising, muscle weakness, facial rounding or use of steroid tablets or potent steroid creams. Seek care sooner if the skin is broken, infected or severely painful.
Questions before choosing treatment
Ask what improvement is realistic for the colour and age of your marks, how the option behaves in your skin tone, whether several approaches might be staged, what aftercare is required, and which temporary pigment or texture changes can occur.

Questions people ask
Are stretch marks harmful?
Typical stretch marks are harmless. An unusual sudden outbreak with other physical changes merits medical assessment.
Will moisturiser remove stretch marks?
Moisturiser supports comfort and the surface barrier, but it does not rebuild the deeper fibres that created established lines.
Can stretch marks fade by themselves?
They often become paler and flatter with time, although some difference in colour and texture can remain.
