Ayurvedic treatment for eye allergy: safety and options

Allergic eye symptoms often improve by reducing allergen exposure, using cool compresses and preservative-free lubricating drops, and taking allergy treatment recommended by a clinician or pharmacist. Herbal drops, homemade washes, honey, oils, and powders may introduce germs, scratch the surface, or trigger further inflammation.

Eye allergy commonly affects both eyes with itching, watering, redness, and puffy lids after exposure to pollen, dust mites, pets, or another trigger. Itching is a useful clue, but discharge, pain, light sensitivity, injury, or a change in vision needs a different assessment. Contact-lens wearers require particular care because infection can worsen quickly.
