Before-and-after photographs are useful only when the lighting, hairstyle, angle and follow-up stage are comparable. They cannot predict your density because the donor supply, hair calibre, curl, colour contrast and pattern of loss differ between people.

The robotic system helps identify and extract suitable follicular units from a closely trimmed donor area. A clinician still designs the hairline, decides where grafts should be placed and controls their direction and distribution. The procedure redistributes existing follicles; it does not create a new supply.

Small crusts, redness and temporary swelling can occur early. Transplanted shafts may shed while the follicles remain beneath the skin. New growth then appears unevenly and matures over many months, so an early photograph is not a final result. Ongoing hair loss outside the transplanted area can also change the overall appearance.

Before treatment, obtain a diagnosis for the hair-loss pattern and ask whether the donor area can support the proposed design. Share medicines, supplements, allergies, previous scalp procedures, smoking or nicotine use, and any tendency to form raised scars. Follow the clinic's instructions about washing, hair trimming and medicines rather than changing prescriptions yourself.

Afterward, protect the grafts from rubbing and scratching, use the recommended gentle washing method, and avoid tight headwear until the treating team says it is suitable. Attend planned checks so healing, donor-area changes and growth can be assessed with consistent photographs.

Contact the treating clinic promptly for worsening pain, spreading redness, increasing warmth, pus, a bad smell, fever, persistent bleeding or swelling that is becoming more pronounced. Seek urgent medical care for difficulty breathing, facial or throat swelling, faintness, confusion or rapidly worsening symptoms.

Ask who will design the hairline, extract grafts and create recipient sites; how the donor reserve was assessed; what density is realistic for your hair characteristics; and how future loss will be managed. Request photographs of patients with a similar loss pattern and hair type, taken under comparable conditions at clearly identified stages of recovery.
