Urgent care is also appropriate for facial or throat swelling, breathing difficulty, fainting, or a severe widespread rash. Report unusual bruising, marked fatigue, yellowing of the eyes or skin, or new abdominal pain rather than waiting for a routine monitoring visit.

Ask why a JAK inhibitor is being suggested for your pattern, what improvement would count as meaningful, which tests are planned, and how infections or abnormal results would be handled. Confirm contraception or pregnancy advice where relevant and ask what may happen if treatment is paused or stopped.
