Contact the clinic for persistent or worsening pain, blistering, crusting, spreading redness, pus, marked swelling, or patches that become much lighter or darker. Seek urgent care for breathing difficulty, facial or throat swelling, eye pain, or visual change. If recurrent lumps, draining tunnels, or scarring occur in the armpits or groin, arrange a medical assessment because these findings can occur with hidradenitis suppurativa.

Ask which wavelength is proposed, how it suits your skin tone and hair colour, and how cooling and eye protection will be provided. Clarify what reduction is realistic, how hormonal hair growth may affect maintenance, what to do between visits, and who will examine a suspected burn. For facial hair growth that began unexpectedly, ask whether a hormonal evaluation is appropriate before or alongside treatment.
