A non-urgent follow-up is sensible if a treated area develops persistent light or dark colour, a depressed mark, a raised scar or a lump that changes unexpectedly. Examination can distinguish normal remodelling from a problem needing treatment.

Ask what features support the diagnosis, how close the lesions are to the eyelid margin, and what eye-protection measures will be used.
