A blood test for human chorionic gonadotropin, often called hCG, may be scheduled around this stage. The result and any follow-up change are more informative than cramps, spotting, breast tenderness or the absence of symptoms.

Mild pelvic pulling, bloating, tiredness, breast sensitivity or light spotting can occur after transfer, but none can confirm whether implantation happened. Progesterone treatment can produce similar sensations, and some people with an ongoing pregnancy feel no clear change.

A home urine test may differ from the clinic result because urine concentration, test sensitivity and the timing of testing affect what appears. If the clinic orders a blood test, use that result and the team's interpretation rather than comparing symptoms with another person's cycle.

Take progesterone and any other prescribed medicines at the instructed times. Do not stop them because of bleeding, a negative home test or a lack of symptoms unless the fertility clinic specifically tells you to do so.

Attend the planned test, note any missed doses and tell the clinic about new medicines or supplements. Normal daily movement is generally reasonable if your team has not set restrictions; avoid starting strenuous exercise and follow the clinic's advice on sex, travel and work.

Contact the fertility clinic promptly for bleeding that is becoming heavier, worsening pelvic pain, fever, repeated vomiting or concern that you cannot keep medicines down. The team can advise whether assessment or a repeat test is needed.

Seek urgent medical care for severe or one-sided abdominal pain, shoulder-tip pain, fainting, marked dizziness, chest pain or difficulty breathing. These symptoms need assessment regardless of a home pregnancy-test result.

Ask when and where to test, how results will be communicated, and whether a repeat hCG measurement may be needed. Confirm exactly how long to continue progesterone, what to do after a missed dose, and which symptoms should trigger a same-day call.
