A gastroenterologist may help with jaundice or digestive blockage, while a dietitian and symptom team address appetite, digestion, pain and strength.

Ask for review by a team experienced in pancreatic disease. Take scan images and reports, biopsy results, medicine lists, and notes about weight change, eating, pain or bowel symptoms. Ask whether more tissue testing is needed, whether surgery is feasible now, and how treatment timing will be decided. Genetic counselling may be discussed if a BRCA gene mutation is suspected or identified.
