When to worry about flaky scalp if you have scalp psoriasis

Scalp Psoriasis can create thick, dry scale over raised, inflamed areas. It may extend to the hairline, behind the ears, or the back of the neck, and scratching can leave the skin sore or cracked. A flare can look different from your usual pattern, while scale with pus, spreading redness, or increasing warmth may indicate infection or another problem.

Seek prompt care for painful cracks, bleeding that does not settle, pus, fever, rapidly increasing swelling, or sudden patchy hair loss.
