TCA CROSS places a high-strength chemical solution into selected acne-scar openings rather than spreading it across the whole face. The controlled injury can stimulate healing and make some deep, narrow scars less noticeable over time. It is different from a broad chemical peel and is not designed to treat active acne, widespread dark marks, raised scars, or every type of depressed scar. Skin tone, healing history, scar depth, and the risk of prolonged darkening or lightening all matter during selection.
