When Is RF Microneedling Recommended for Acne Scars?

RF microneedling uses fine needles to reach selected depths, followed by radiofrequency energy that warms tissue beneath the surface. This controlled injury can stimulate collagen remodelling and may soften the appearance of some indented scars over time. It is not designed to treat an active acne outbreak, and raised scars may need a different approach.

Scar depth, edges, skin tone, tendency to form dark marks, and previous treatments influence the plan. Improvement is gradual because the skin needs time to heal and remodel.
