When is pulsed dye laser treatment recommended for cherry angioma?

A cherry angioma is a small collection of blood vessels that can appear as a bright red, purple, or darker spot. It is often harmless, but a raised spot can catch on clothing or bleed after rubbing. Pulsed dye laser energy targets blood vessels in the skin; the clinician chooses settings according to the spot, its location, and your skin characteristics.

Have a changing, irregular, very dark, crusted, or repeatedly bleeding spot examined before cosmetic treatment.
