Guttate psoriasis causes many small, scaly spots that can appear suddenly, often across the trunk and limbs. A dermatologist may consider narrowband UVB when the affected area makes applying creams difficult, the eruption continues after initial care, or the condition is interfering with comfort and daily activities. Light is delivered in controlled clinic sessions to reduce psoriasis activity gradually.
