Erythrasma is a superficial bacterial infection that often appears as brown, pink, or reddish patches in warm, moist folds such as the groin, armpits, or between toes. The medicine acts at the skin surface against the bacteria. It may reduce active scaling and colour over time, but the pigment can remain visible after the infection has settled.

Mild stinging, dryness, or irritation can occur where the product is placed. A new rash outside the treated area, marked swelling, or worsening discomfort deserves clinical advice because the diagnosis or medicine may need review.

Follow the prescribed amount and schedule, and wash your hands before and after application. Pat folds dry rather than rubbing them. Contact a clinician if the patch becomes painful, hot, swollen, cracked, or wet, or if redness moves beyond the original area.
