Your team compares each result with earlier images to look for change and to guide rehabilitation or further care.

MRI helps show the treated area and the nearby nerves and brain structures. An appointment may also review hearing, tinnitus, facial movement, sensation, dizziness, balance, headaches, and how symptoms affect daily activities. A small area seen on an early scan may reflect healing rather than returning tumour, so comparison over time matters.

Keep your imaging appointments and bring an updated list of symptoms and medicines. Note changes in hearing, facial weakness, taste, swallowing, walking, or balance, including when each change began. Ask about hearing support, vestibular therapy, facial rehabilitation, and work or driving advice. Do not stop prescribed treatment because symptoms improve without discussing it with your team.
