Pustular psoriasis can produce widespread redness, tender skin, and pus-filled bumps. Methotrexate reduces immune activity involved in inflammation, but it is not an emergency substitute for assessment when a flare is extensive or you feel unwell. Improvement may be tracked through fewer new pustules, less redness, reduced tenderness, and better skin function. Nausea, fatigue, headache, mouth soreness, and changes in blood counts or liver tests can occur, so follow-up and laboratory checks are essential.
