What to expect from laser hair removal for keratosis pilaris

Keratosis pilaris creates small rough bumps when keratin builds up around hair follicles. Laser hair removal targets pigment in the hair follicle, not the keratin plug on the skin surface. If shaving or ingrown hairs add irritation, reducing hair growth may make the area look or feel calmer for some people.
