The clinician examines the dimpling and marks the planned areas, which may include the thighs, buttocks, abdomen, or another suitable region. A fine needle delivers medical carbon dioxide under the skin. You may feel pressure, fullness, warmth, or a brief sting as the gas enters.

The treated area can look puffy for a short time because the gas spreads through the tissue. Small bruises, redness, tenderness, or a crackling sensation under the skin may occur. The visible response varies, and cellulite may remain; the clinician may discuss a course of sessions rather than a single visit.

Tell the clinician about pregnancy, breastfeeding, circulation problems, clotting conditions, medicines, allergies, skin infection, or recent procedures in the area. Wear loose clothing and avoid applying irritating products to the treatment site unless advised otherwise.

Keep the puncture sites clean and follow the clinic's instructions about bathing, exercise, massage, and compression garments. Do not press or manipulate a painful lump without advice. Take photographs only under similar lighting if you want to compare changes over time.
