Contact the prescriber promptly if symptoms are not beginning to improve after treatment starts, or if you develop a rash, swelling of the lips or face, breathing difficulty, or severe diarrhoea.

Ask which infection the antibiotics are intended to cover, how long you should take each medicine, and whether you need testing or a follow-up examination. Ask when sex can safely resume, whether a partner needs assessment, and which symptoms should prompt a same-day review.
