Baby acne may appear as small red bumps or pustules on a newborn’s cheeks, forehead, chin, or scalp. It often does not make the baby unwell. Thick creams, oils, scrubbing, and squeezing can irritate delicate skin and make the rash harder to assess.

Use clean, soft fabrics and avoid picking the bumps.
