What is the first treatment for droopy eyelids?

Dermatochalasis is extra, lax skin around the upper or lower eyelids. A clinician checks whether the change is mainly cosmetic or whether it narrows the field of vision, causes heaviness, or irritates the eye. Mild changes may need no procedure. Energy-based options such as plasma pen treatment or radiofrequency skin tightening may be discussed in selected cases, but they are not interchangeable with surgery.

Arrange an eye or skin assessment if the drooping is bothersome, changing, or interfering with reading and driving.
