What is scar revision surgery done with?

A surgeon examines the scar's size, direction, depth, colour, movement, and relationship to nearby skin. Contact the surgical team if the wound opens, bleeding persists, pain increases, or redness, warmth, swelling, or drainage spreads. Seek urgent help for fever with severe wound symptoms, facial swelling that affects breathing, or sudden widespread hives. A rapidly thickening or very itchy scar also needs review because additional treatment may be considered.
