What is ketoconazole used for?

Ketoconazole is an antifungal medicine. Depending on the diagnosis, it may be supplied as a cream, shampoo or another prescribed form. A cream can be used on affected skin, while medicated shampoo may help manage yeast or fungal activity on the scalp and areas such as the face or upper trunk.
