What is electromagnetic pelvic floor chair used for?

The chair creates pulsed electromagnetic fields that cause pelvic floor muscles to contract and relax while the person remains clothed and seated. A clinician selects the programme and intensity according to the person’s symptoms and medical history. It may be discussed for problems such as urinary leakage related to weak pelvic floor muscles, or as part of a broader rehabilitation plan. It does not diagnose the cause of leakage, pain, pressure, or sexual symptoms, and it does not replace assessment when symptoms are new or changing. Pelvic floor exercises and other treatments may still be needed.

Tell the provider about pregnancy, implanted electrical or metal devices, recent surgery, neurological conditions, and medicines or diagnoses that affect muscle control. Ask how the session should feel, how many visits are proposed, and how progress will be measured. A pelvic health assessment can identify whether muscle weakness, overactivity, bladder habits, or another condition needs attention.

Arrange medical review for blood in the urine, fever, severe pelvic pain, inability to pass urine, new numbness or weakness, or sudden loss of bladder or bowel control. Stop a session and tell the provider about significant pain, unusual dizziness, or a new symptom.

Ask whether your symptoms fit pelvic floor rehabilitation, whether the chair is suitable with any implanted device, and what exercise or bladder-training plan should accompany sessions.
