The pen is one part of the procedure. Donor assessment, graft handling, sterile technique, local anaesthesia and post-treatment care also affect the process. The method is not suitable in exactly the same way for every person, because hair loss pattern, donor supply and scalp condition vary.

Seek urgent help for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, heavy bleeding, fainting or fever with rapidly spreading redness. Do not pick at grafts or apply unapproved products while the scalp heals.
