What if non-surgical spinal decompression does not relieve radiating leg pain?

Pain travelling from the back or buttock into the leg can occur when a nerve is irritated, but the location alone cannot show the cause. Disc or joint changes, muscle and hip problems, or another nerve-related condition may need consideration. Treatment response can vary, and no improvement means the clinician should check whether the suspected source and treatment still fit your symptoms.

Write down which leg is affected, how far the pain travels, and whether you notice tingling, numbness, weakness, or changes with sitting, walking, coughing, or bending. Keep activity gentle and change positions regularly if tolerated. Do not increase decompression settings yourself. A clinician can compare leg strength, sensation, and reflexes and guide exercise, medication discussion, imaging, or referral when indicated.

Seek emergency care if leg weakness is rapidly progressing, you cannot control your bladder or bowel, or you develop numbness around the saddle area. Prompt review is also needed for fever, severe night pain, unexplained weight loss, or symptoms after significant injury.
