A clinician may recommend a pore-clearing topical medicine, supervised extraction, or an acne plan rather than more suction. Avoid layering scrubs, picking, or strong products immediately after treatment because irritation can make the area look worse.

Arrange medical review for painful deep bumps, pus, spreading redness, marked swelling, crusting, blistering, or persistent burning after the facial. Seek urgent help for facial swelling with breathing difficulty or rapidly worsening swelling around the eyes.
