Seek emergency help for a first-time seizure, a seizure that does not stop, sudden weakness, new trouble speaking, severe confusion, repeated vomiting, a rapidly worsening headache, or reduced alertness. Do not drive after a seizure or while confused. A persistent headache or any new neurological change deserves prompt clinical assessment even when it is not severe.
