What does sore throat feel like with acid reflux?

Do not stop prescribed medicines without advice. A clinician can review persistent hoarseness, cough, swallowing symptoms, and any medicines that may irritate the upper digestive tract.

Seek urgent help for chest pressure with breathlessness, sweating, faintness, or pain spreading to the arm or jaw. Arrange prompt assessment for difficulty swallowing, food sticking, vomiting blood, black stools, unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, or a sore throat that does not settle. These signs need evaluation rather than treatment based on reflux alone.
