What does skin ulcer feel like with stasis dermatitis?

A stasis-related ulcer commonly develops on the lower leg or near the ankle, where the surrounding skin may feel tight, heavy, warm, itchy, or tender. The skin can look dry and scaly or darker and reddish-brown, and fluid may seep from the open area or nearby skin. Leg swelling often becomes more noticeable after standing. Keep the wound covered with a clean dressing recommended for you, wash gently, and avoid scratching the surrounding itch.
