High calcium in cancer can affect the digestive system, muscles, kidneys, and brain. Food may become unappealing because of nausea, constipation, abdominal discomfort, or a dry mouth. You may feel unusually thirsty, pass urine more often, tire easily, or notice reduced concentration. In someone with cancer, these symptoms deserve medical review because several causes can overlap, including treatment effects, dehydration, infection, and changes in the illness.
