What Does a Hot, Red, Swollen Joint Feel Like With Gout?

Most people with Gout notice hot, red, swollen joint with skin that feels warmer than the other side. The area may look shiny, feel stretched, and hurt even with light pressure from clothing or bedding. Moving the joint can be difficult because inflammation creates pain and a sense of pressure.
