What does difficulty swallowing feel like with hiatus hernia?

You may notice food sticking after larger meals, discomfort behind the breastbone, heartburn, belching, sour fluid returning to the mouth, or symptoms that worsen when bending or lying down. Eat slowly, chew well, and choose smaller meals if large portions make symptoms worse.
