What does chest pain feel like with panic disorder?

Short answer
Chest Pain is a very common presentation of Panic Disorder. During a panic attack it may feel sharp, tight, aching, or constricting, often alongside a racing heart, fast breathing, trembling, or intense fear.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Why panic can affect the chest
Panic activates the body’s alarm response. Faster breathing and tense chest muscles can create tightness, soreness, tingling, or difficulty getting a satisfying breath. A sudden wave of fear, dizziness, sweating, shaking, numbness, or feeling detached may occur at the same time. Episodes can arise unexpectedly or follow a feared situation.
These features can overlap with heart and lung problems. Even if anxiety is familiar, a new, different, severe, or persistent chest symptom should be medically assessed rather than labelled as panic automatically.
During a suspected panic attack
Move to a safe place, sit with your feet supported, and loosen restrictive clothing. Breathe gently and slowly without forcing a deep breath; try making the exhale slightly longer than the inhale. Remind yourself that the sensations are intense but temporary, while remaining alert to symptoms that do not fit your usual pattern.
When urgent help is needed
Call emergency services for chest pressure or pain with faintness, severe breathlessness, cold sweating, nausea, weakness, or discomfort spreading to the arm, jaw, back, or shoulder. Seek urgent help for a first episode, symptoms that persist or worsen, or pain that feels unlike previous panic episodes. Do not drive yourself if you feel faint or unwell.
Planning follow-up
Ask how panic disorder was diagnosed, which physical causes have been considered, and what treatment options suit you. Discuss a written plan for future episodes, breathing practice, talking therapy, medicines, sleep, caffeine, and when symptoms should trigger emergency care.

Questions people ask
Can panic cause chest tightness?
Yes. The alarm response, rapid breathing, and tense chest muscles can produce tightness or pain during a panic attack.
How can I tell panic from a heart problem?
You cannot reliably tell from sensation alone. New, severe, persistent, or unusual chest symptoms need urgent medical assessment.
