What does blood in urine feel like with benign prostatic hyperplasia?

Blood in Urine is a common presentation of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, but it may cause no distinct sensation. You may see pink, red, or tea-coloured urine, while some blood is only detected by a urine test. Benign prostate enlargement can also cause a weaker stream, trouble starting, dribbling, or a feeling that the bladder has not emptied.

An enlarged prostate can press on the urine passage and irritate nearby tissue. Blood can appear without burning or pain, so the absence of discomfort does not explain its cause.
