What are the first signs of urinary tract infection?

A urinary tract infection can affect the bladder or other parts of the urinary system. Urine may smell stronger or look cloudy, and some people notice blood in the urine. New wetting or urinary incontinence can occur in some children or adults. These symptoms can also have non-infectious causes, so the pattern and clinical assessment matter.
