Wet wraps for eczema on the face

Moisture held against inflamed skin can soften scale and reduce the urge to scratch. Facial skin, especially around the eyelids, can absorb medicines more readily and react to adhesives, fragranced creams, wool, or occlusive layers. Use a bland, clinician-approved moisturiser and freshly washed, soft material. Dampen the inner layer, squeeze out excess water, and keep the eyes, nostrils, and lips uncovered. Avoid tight pressure, fragranced products, and applying prescription medicine beneath a wrap unless told to do so. Do not share materials, and stop when stinging or swelling develops. Get medical advice for worsening pain, heat, swelling, oozing, spreading crusts, or fever. Seek urgent care if swelling affects the eyes, vision changes, or breathing becomes difficult.
