What should you know about Vogelxo testosterone gel?

Testosterone gel is absorbed through the skin after application to the prescribed area. Vogelxo may be discussed in specialist menopause care for selected women with persistent low sexual desire after other causes and treatment options have been considered. It is not a general treatment for tiredness, weight change or every menopause symptom.

The dose for women may differ from the product directions intended for men, so never adjust the amount yourself. Testosterone can transfer to another person through skin contact while the application site is wet or uncovered.

Apply only as directed, wash your hands afterwards, let the area dry, and keep it covered as instructed. Avoid skin-to-skin contact between the site and children or a partner until the clinician's precautions are met. Tell the prescriber about pregnancy plans, breastfeeding, liver problems, acne, hair growth or voice changes.

Follow-up may include discussion of desire, side effects and blood tests. Do not share the tube or use a larger amount because an expected benefit has not appeared quickly.

Report new or worsening acne, increased facial or body hair, scalp hair loss, voice deepening, mood changes, clitoral enlargement or irregular bleeding.
