What should you know about under eye line filler?

Lines under the eyes may reflect a hollow, reduced volume, skin laxity, dryness or repeated muscle movement. A filler, often based on hyaluronic acid, is placed in selected tissue planes to change contour and light reflection. It does not erase movement-related lines or correct pigmentation, and placing product too superficially can create visible puffiness or a bluish cast.

Choose a qualified medical injector who examines the lower eyelid and cheek together. Discuss allergies, medicines, previous filler, swelling, dry eyes and any planned dental or facial procedures. Temporary tenderness, bruising, swelling or asymmetry can occur. Follow aftercare instructions and avoid pressing or massaging the area unless specifically advised. Improvement is assessed after swelling settles, and further treatment should be conservative.

Get urgent help for severe or increasing pain, pale or mottled skin, unusual swelling, weakness, or any change in vision after injection. These symptoms require prompt assessment. Contact the clinic for persistent redness, warmth, drainage or worsening tenderness.
