What should you know about under eye filler for deep set eyes?

Deep-set eyes sit farther back within the eye socket, so the brow, eyelid and cheek can naturally cast shadows. A tear-trough hollow may add another line beneath the eye. Filler can support a selected hollow, but it cannot change the underlying socket shape or remove every shadow created by lighting.

The lower eyelid may also have thin skin, visible vessels, laxity or a prominent fat pad. Too much product can create fullness or an uneven transition between the eyelid and cheek, making the face look heavier rather than smoother.

Ask the clinician to assess your eyes from the front and side, with a neutral expression and while smiling. Discuss whether the goal is a hollow, a crease or general shadowing, and whether filler, another treatment or observation best matches the anatomy.

Tell the practitioner about eye disease, allergies, previous filler, medicines and past swelling. Do not proceed through an active infection or rash. Select a qualified medical practitioner who can explain placement, expected swelling, follow-up and how a problem would be handled.

Report increasing pain, marked swelling, unusual skin colour or blistering quickly to the treating clinic. A change in vision, severe eye pain, new facial weakness or difficulty speaking requires emergency care.
