Treatment options for small cell lung cancer

Chemotherapy travels through the bloodstream and can treat cancer cells in the lungs and elsewhere in the body. Immunotherapy may be added to help the immune system recognise and attack cancer cells. Radiotherapy uses focused radiation to treat a lung tumour, nearby lymph nodes, or a symptom-producing area.
