Tinea incognito is ringworm changed by a corticosteroid. The skin may look calmer while fungus continues, so a remedy that reduces redness does not prove the infection is gone. Vinegar, bleach, essential oils, and abrasive scrubs can burn or irritate skin. Eczema, allergy, and bacterial infection may look similar, so an examination can matter.
