What should you know about thymoma type B2 treatment?

Type B2 is a microscopic classification made by a pathologist. It describes how the tumour cells and surrounding immune cells look in a tissue specimen; it does not, by itself, describe how far the tumour has spread. Specialists also review scans, operative findings and pathology details to understand whether the thymoma is contained, has reached nearby tissue or needs a broader treatment approach.

Symptoms may include chest discomfort, cough or breathlessness, although some people have no symptoms. Thymoma may also be associated with immune conditions that cause fluctuating muscle weakness, eyelid drooping, double vision or swallowing difficulty. Tell the team about these changes before any procedure or medicine is planned.
