What should you know about thumb nail fungus?

Affected nails may become yellow, white, or brown, develop debris beneath the nail, or grow unevenly. The nail can feel thicker and may separate from the nail bed. A fungal infection can occur alongside athlete’s foot because fungi may spread between the skin and nails, but trauma, eczema, psoriasis, or other nail conditions can look similar.
