What should you know about thick dry skin under toenail?

Material under a toenail can collect when the nail lifts slightly, is repeatedly pressed by footwear, or grows over thickened skin. Dry Skin around the toe can shed and become trapped. A clinician may inspect the nail and surrounding skin to distinguish trauma, inflammation, infection, or Psoriasis and select treatment that reaches the correct area.
