What does the tetanus vaccine mean?

Tetanus is an illness caused when bacteria enter damaged skin and produce a toxin that affects the nervous system. Emergency assessment is needed for jaw tightness, difficulty swallowing, breathing problems, or repeated painful muscle spasms. These can be signs of serious illness rather than an ordinary vaccine response.
