What to know about a TCA multi-acid body peel

A multi-acid peel uses more than one exfoliating ingredient. TCA produces a controlled chemical injury, while another acid may loosen surface connections or support exfoliation. The combined action can be more irritating than a single-ingredient product, and thicker body skin does not remove the risk of burns or uneven healing.
