Swollen lips because of allergy: what to know

Allergic swelling may affect one or both lips and can be accompanied by itching, hives, warmth, flushing, or swelling elsewhere. Possible triggers include food, medicine, insect contact, latex, or a cosmetic. Symptoms may begin soon after exposure, but timing varies.
