Your clinician can discuss hormone therapy and non-hormonal medicines, taking into account the reason for surgery, personal history and other medicines. Emotional support, sleep routines and strength-building activity may also help recovery.

Arrange medical advice for new or severe symptoms, persistent low mood, panic, sleep loss that affects safety, pain during sex, or vaginal bleeding after periods have stopped. Seek urgent help for chest pain, severe breathlessness, one-sided weakness, sudden confusion or thoughts of harming yourself.
