Sunburn blister on the nose: what to know

A blister is a pocket of fluid beneath injured skin. The nose often receives strong direct exposure, so redness, swelling, tenderness, and blistering can occur there. The fluid-filled roof helps shield the raw surface underneath. A blister does not prove infection, but increasing pain, warmth, cloudy drainage, or spreading redness can signal a complication.

Gently rinse with clean water, pat dry, and avoid friction from glasses, towels, or tight coverings. Do not pierce or peel the blister.
